Research Topic

I’m currently doing my master’s thesis on the production of mycoprotein using fungi isolated from soil samples. The fungi are cultivated on spent wash, a byproduct from the ethanol industry, to evaluate its potential as a low-cost, sustainable medium for generating protein-rich biomass that can serve as a meat substitute.

Research Experience

Bio

I’m an MSc Microbiology student at Vellore Institute of Technology with a strong interest in sustainable biotechnology and microbial applications. My passion lies in exploring how microbes can be harnessed for real-world solutions—from alternative protein sources to eco-friendly waste management. I’m particularly fascinated by the intersection of microbiology and innovation in food and environmental systems.
